Last Day at Law Firm

To be frank, working in a law firm is never easy for me. Graduated as a Bachelor of Law in Public International Law, I barely know about Indonesian Law, especially corporation law. But when I passed my advocate bar exam, working in a law firm is definitely the deal.

I remember my first assignment in Manullang & Putranto Law Firm was a research about how government regulations regarding skyscraper permit can affect real estate business. THAT WAS A BIG DEAL FOR ME WHEN I ANSWERED SYARAT SAH PERJANJIAN ON 1320 KUHPerdata WRONG. And when the first one wasn’t finished yet, I was pushed to draft an agreement.. With no guidance at all.

Struggling with law firm and all of its complicated life, dealing with clients and to catch up with all of the new regulations, I learned a lot.

Yes. Working in a law firm is not easy, and never will be. But in the end, after almost one and a half year, I survived. I even got offered from one of a top tier law firm in Jakarta. Ask me anything about any legal problem, (with hourly rate, no jk) I’d give you my professional advice. That’s how far I am for becoming a lawyer.

So here I am now. Starting my work in Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Diplomat Candidate soon. One thing I always wanted since I was little. A dream. Come true.

Now I believe that life is a journey. Its not all about the destination but how you can learn the process and enjoy the journey..

My journey will continue, and the battle is still on! Bismillah
